VASCURA – AES STOCKING ( DVT )

Fitlegs Anti-Embolism stockings are intended to:

Help prevent the pooling of blood in the legs by applying controlled pressure to the legs.

Help prevent Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) and leg discomfort in individuals subjected to reduced mobility.

Contra-indications to use*

  • Severe peripheral vascular disease.
  • Severe dermatitis.
  • Gross oedema/edema of the legs.
  • Deformity of the legs.
  • Peripheral neuropathy.
  • Recent skin graft.
  • * Please refer to your organisation’s own policy on the prevention of DVT and the use of anti-embolic stockings, as the contra-indications and cautions listed here although well-proven and researched, may differ.

Cautions in use*

  • Do not fold down. Apply carefully making
  • sure the inspection hole is under toes.
  • Fingernails may damage the fabric. If patient
  • on the cusp of two sizes and undergoing
  • surgery, apply larger size. Apply the right size.
  • Check fitting daily. Remove daily for no longer
  • than 30 minutes at any one period.
