VAP CLEAR – Oral Care Kit

Intent of use:

Silicone bristles suction toothbrush is mainly designed for sputum suctioning and hygiene aid to the patients who are bed-ridden, in coma, abrosia, or suffering mechanical ventilation etc..

Toothbrush can lower the pulmonary infection and prevent ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) through effective oral hygiene and suction. It is a clean and non-sterile procedure.

Instructions for use

1. Connect yankauer tube to the suction port at the end of the brush and connect the other end to the negative pressure device. Adjust the negative pressure to an appropriate range.
2. Take oral hygiene solution as per the hospital protocol into the 20ml syringe and connect the syringe to the irrigation port, control the speed at about 80 drops/min.
3. Gradually flush and brush at the same time by using thumb control vent.
4. Perform oral brushing by with help of silicone soft bristles and a traumatic cleaning on the teeth, gum and tongue or as per the hospital protocol.
5. Use the disposable forceps and gauge to wipe/clean wherever it is needed as per the hospital protocol.
6. After the oral hygiene, turn off the negative pressure, remove and dispose the product.

WARNING:

1. Read instruction before use.
2. The products should not be re-sterilized once used, must inspect and check the product before use.
3. Should not be used if the packing is damaged.
4. Use is restricted to un trained doctors and paramedics.
5. Don’t Re-Use and Discard after single use.
6. After use of products must be disposed off as per country law of bio-waste handling rule.

STORAGE
This product should be stored in a dry, Ventilated, heat-proof place without corrosive gases.
